Find a COMPELLING Reason

My wife and I went to an amazing seminar in New Jersey last weekend.

The weather was great (85 and sunny).

The topic was great (CBP Corrective Rehab for the Thoracic Spine).

The camaraderie with our colleagues was great.

I couldn't wait to get back and share it all with our team and patients.

But rain and lightning got in the way!!

Our flight was delayed so instead of getting home at 7pm we got home at 10:15.

I still had lunches and smoothies to make for the next day.

Even with all that, it still couldn't get me down. I still couldn't wait until the next day.

For the last year or so, I've been getting up at 5am to work out.

After a long traveling weekend, and less sleep than I would like, would I be able to get up Monday to keep the routine??

If I didn't have a COMPELLING reason (actually, multiple compelling reasons) to pull me out of bed at 5 o'clock Monday morning, I absolutely WOULD NOT have gotten up.

But, because I DO, there was no question that I would be down in my basement working out at 5:15am the next morning.

When it comes to our health and fitness, having compelling reasons (i.e. what we FOCUS on) is what allows us to break through any obstacle or excuse.

In the face of adversity or barriers, it keeps us going forward.

What are your reasons to be healthy?

Are they compelling enough to pull you through the tough times?

I promise if you focus on these reasons...and FEEL what they mean to you, your family and your life...you'll ALWAYS get back up even if you fall.
