Too many times I hear people say "I have to make time for/to (fill in the blank)."
And many of those times, the 'fill in the blank' has to do something with their health.
Exercise. Go to a new workout class. Prepare your own meal in advance so you don't eat out. Do rehab exercises. Stretch. Go for a walk. Get adjusted!
And here's where they run into the big issue...You Can't Make Time!!
We all have the same amount of time in the day.
What differs is how we CHOOSE to USE that time.
If you want to see how I use my time at the end of the day, watch the video below:
After my girls are ready for bed, they read. My youngest likes to read to me and my wife so while she does that, I'll do mobility or core exercises.
What you do isn't as important as actually DOING IT. You could do the exercises I show you in the video (or you could pick from our Exercise Video Library).
You could read yourself, practice deep diaphragmatic breathing, or even meditate.
This is one example.
Think about what you do throughout the day. You may be a parent going to sporting events for your kids. You could CHOOSE to USE that time doing some squats, lunges, pushups, or stand on one leg to improve your balance.
If you're sitting most of the day at work, you could do one of our At Work Workouts (You can click here for #1, #2, and #3).
Whatever you're doing is what you're choosing to do at that time; it's your PRIORITY.
Most nights after my girls are in bed, I'll watch TV with my wife. I enjoy spending that time with her and making fun of all the people on Reality TV. (Can you believe what happened to Teresa on The Real Housewives of New Jersey!!)
Sometimes I'll just sit on the couch, but other times I'll stretch, use my roller to massage muscles, mobilize my joints, or make our smoothies for the next day.
If I CHOOSE to USE my time lounging on the couch , I can't say I don't have the time to write an article, read research, make a Fit Healthy Life video, or exercise.
Whatever activities YOU choose to use your time on, whether you want to admit it or not, is YOUR PRIORITY.
If HEALTH is one of your top priorities, you will USE more than just a little of your time on those activities that BUILD your health.
