The Busy Parent Workout

The theme of March at Total Health is "How to Raise a Healthy Family" and you can't do that unless you're raising yourself to be healthy (remember...you're part of the family too).

One of the big excuses parents (and many others) have for not exercising is they don't have enough time. But the truth is you will always find the time for anything that's a PRIORITY.

If exercising is a "should," like saying to yourself "I should exercise," then there's a better than good chance that you'll find an excuse not to do it.

But, as with anything in life, if it's a "MUST," you will find a way to do it!

To get past the "not enough time to exercise" excuse, Alexa shows you a 10-Minute Busy Parent Workout and you don't need any equipment!  

 

Here's how you do it:

Start your stopwatch. Perform 10 reps of each of the following exercises, one right after the other:

- 10 Bodyweight Squats
- 10 Pushups
- 10 Burpees

If you complete the round in less than a minute, that is your rest time until starting the next round. For example, if you complete all the exercises in 50 seconds, you get 10 seconds of rest before starting the next round. Perform 10 rounds for a 10 minute total body workout.

If this is too difficult, you can either increase the time or decrease the number of reps you're performing.

If you MUST, then you WILL! NO EXCUSES!
