| Category: Weekend Challenge
January is gone and maybe for some of you your motivation is weakening, especially on the eating front. We all know (at least I think we all do) that nutrition is a huge part of being healthy. Our country is loaded with processed food, and us as a society are all too willing to partake in these malnutritious, and even deadly, foods. Here in my home state of Michigan, our health is not good. Don't take my word for it, look at this: http://www.americashealthrankings.org/mi
So this weekends Total Health Weekend Challenge directly opposes our unhealthy eating habits. It's called the 1-Ingredient Challenge.
Here's what you do: This weekend, only eat foods that have one ingredient. Plain and simple. If you look at a label's ingredients and it lists more than one ingredient, do not eat it! If you see two, three, four, five, six or 100 ingredients, do not eat it! You can mix one ingredient foods together... that is allowed. For example, you can make a trail mix with cashews, almonds, raisins, and walnuts. Is it going to be difficult? Probably for many of you. One of the goals of this challenge is to make you aware of all the foods you can eat. And when the challenge is over hopefully you'll continue eating some, most, or all of those foods.
I'll give you one modification: It may be hard for you to do this on the weekend, especially Super Bowl Weekend, so I'll give you a choice. You can do the 1-Ingredient Challenge on Saturday and Sunday OR Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday next week.
One more thing...if you are currently on our Ideal Protein Weight Loss program, continue eating the Ideal Protein approved food packs.
Email or post any questions you may have.
Have an awesome weekend!
As always, GIVE YOUR BEST!!
