Thighs of Steel

Who doesn't want strong, lean hips and thighs? If you don't, DO NOT do this exercise! You will realize that this is a thigh burner when you're done with this Total Health Weekend Challenge. It is the Single Leg Wall Sit Challenge. As the name implies, you will sit on a wall...using a single leg. Watch the video to see what I mean (and see a few modifications too):

 

Here is what you do: Put your back against a flat wall with your feet away from the wall. Slide down until your thighs are parallel with the floor. Make sure your ankles are directly under your knees so your thighs and lower leg are forming a 90 degreee angle. Once in this position, lift one of your feet off the floor and hold that position for as long as you can. Record your time. After a short rest, repeat with the other leg and record that time. Post your score below.

If you cannot perform the challenge in that position, slide up the wall a bit so your thighs are not parallel and try the Single Leg Wall Sit from that position. You can also try a Double Leg Wall Sit in which you have your thighs parallel with both feet on the floor.
